Looking for something to do Mother’s Day weekend? We’ve got you covered! Both Friday and Saturday will have local artists and crafters displaying and giving you the opportunity to purchase some of their unique works. Many of our businesses will have specials going on to kick off your spring shopping. Check out our Facebook page for more details!

Join us downtown on Friday, May 8th from 4-8pm for our Wine Walk. Sip amazing wines in participating stores while local crafters display their works of art. Tickets in advance are $20 each or $30 day of (must be 21 to drink alcohol) and includes a swag bag with wine glass, wristband and extra shopping discounts. Tickets are limited to 200 for this rain or shine event. Grab your friends and shop at our unique stores and eat at our wonderful restaurants for this fun filled event.


Want to give Mom a special gift? Foster a Flower Basket in her name to be showcased downtown in either a hanging basket or bench planter boxes. Check out the information on our Foster Flowers section to learn more and donate through PayPal.


Main Street Memories Car Show –  CANCELED see you in 2021

Come join us Memorial Weekend for our 26th Annual Main Street Memories car show and craft fair. This rain or shine event hosts music, food, shopping, family entertainment and more! We close off our four blocks of historic main street of West Wisconsin Ave. to showcase up to 300 show cars from all around the greater Northwoods and beyond. Take a step back in time to marvel at some automobile greats or fast forward to new technology showstoppers. You can bet there is something for everyone to appreciate. We hand out over 50 trophies along with the prestigious Best Of Show and Peoples Choice. There are even trophies for Youngest Participant and Club Participation. Even our Mayor gets involved and hands out a Mayors Choice Award! You don’t want to miss this downtown tradition. As always spectators are FREE!

Farmer’s Market Tuesdays – Opening Day June 16

June – October 2020 from 1:00pm-5:30pm on Third St in downtown Tomahawk. Featuring pasture pork, fresh eggs, produce, baked goods and herbs along with local maple syrup and honey.

We accept credit, cash, check and EBT. Thanks to the partnership with Ascension we will be offering matching funds to EBT purchases starting in July.

Summer Sidewalk Sales and Customer Appreciation Weekend

August 7 & 8, 2020

The end of summer means we open up the sidewalks to give everyone a stellar sale shopping weekend! Come bask in the savings from our retail stores and fuel up at our wonderful eateries. Stay after the sun sets to enjoy some entertainment with a movie, game of bowling or social camaraderie at our bars.


Big Bear Miniature Golf Open – CANCELED see you in 2021

Hosted by Big Bear Miniature Golf a fundraising event for Tomahawk Main Street & another non profit (TBD). FUN for all ages with Hole Prizes, Music, Food and Refreshments on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. More information on tickets and times will be announced later. Downtown Tomahawk Veterans Fall Ride – CANCELED see you in 2021 

Sept. 17-20, 2020

Beautiful fall weather greets tens of thousands of motorcyclist enthusiasts here every year. Friday, September 18th come watch the Thunder Parade that ends downtown and then join the fun with live music and  food.  Saturday, September 19th the street bands are back at it along with the food courts. This is a four day event that showcases all the wonderful things that Tomahawk has to offer. Prestigious color ride roads, abundant waters, scenic trails, friendly faces and so much more will make you understand why many see us as the hidden gem of the Northwoods.

Applications for the food vendor courts on North 2nd Street and North 3rd Street are available. Please note this is first come first served for space.

Fall Fest and Trick or Treating

October 31, 2020

Family fun to the max! Our downtown is decorated in a fall theme and hosts activities for kids of all ages. Fantastic shopping specials with our many retail businesses and satisfying breakfast and lunch specials with our restaurants. Business Scarecrow Contest display along Main Street. FREE activities and FREE family friendly movie showings at the Tomahawk Cinema. Activities and movie information will be updated closer to the event. The downtown businesses host Trick-or-Treat from 1:30pm – 3:00pm – look for window signs for participating businesses.


 

Small Business Saturday – Shop Local!

A day to get out and shop local to support small businesses. Many downtown  businesses will have shopping specials throughout the day. Also look for the Candy Cane Stop businesses for additional goodies for the Kick off to Christmas!


Valentine Dinner Fundraiser

The Tomahawk Main Street Valentine’s Day Dinner Fundraiser offers attendees a culinary special you won’t want to miss. Prepared by Chef Ryan of Café on Main, a four course dinner will tantalize your taste buds while you enjoy family style seating to enjoy social cheer. Wine and beer options are available for purchase along with a few raffles to win for yourself or for your love. This is a limited ticketed seating event held at Café on Main. More information will be updated as available.
